HHAP Grant Program Manager (Staff Services Manager II)

Under the general direction of the Local Partnership Programs Director, the HHAP Grant Program Manager is principally responsible for managing the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention Program (HHAP). HHAP is a $650M block grant established for the purpose of providing jurisdictions with funds to support regional coordination and expand or develop local capacity to address their immediate homelessness challenges. The HHAP Grant Program Manager will be responsible for leading a team of specialists in rapidly developing and implementing all of the processes, documentation, and systems necessary to establish the grant program in accordance with statutory and statewide administrative requirements, provide the training and assistance needed by grantees, establish and administer consultant contracts to support the effort, monitor grantee performance, and evaluate the overall success of the program.

You must pass an online exam for the SSM II classification or have other eligibility in order to compete for this position.

HEAP Grant Program Manager (Staff Services Manager II)

Under the general direction the of the HEAP Grant Program Director is principally responsible for managing the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP). HEAP is a $500M block grant that provides localities with flexible funds to address their immediate homelessness challenges. HEAP funds were disbursed to the 11 large cities and 43 Continuums of Care in California. The HEAP Grant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of specialists in developing and implementing all of the processes, documentation and systems needed to ensure funds are expended in accordance with statutory and contractual requirements, provide the training and assistance needed by grantees, monitor grantee performance, and measure the overall success of the program.
